Claire Turrell is an award-winning journalist based in Singapore. She has worked for numerous international titles, including New Woman and more in the UK. She launched the US brand SHAPE magazine in the Middle East. After working for Harper's BAZAAR Singapore, she went on to launch Travel by Lightfoot, the magazine for experiential travellers. The print version won MPAS Travel Media of the Year and the online version won the Gold NATJA (North American Travel Journalist Assoc) award for Special Focus Travel Article. She was also named TravMedia Travel Writer of the Year in 2024.

Claire Turrell is the CEO of Sweat Shop Publishing Pte Ltd, which is the owner of the www.the-sweat-shop.net.
